How do you get rid of..or reduce the appearance of acne scarring?

I use to have DEEP cystic acne.. causing pretty good sized scars on my shoulders, and the back of my jaw line....is there ANYTHING i can do to reduce the appearance?.. i cant get any of those injections or anything, due to my insurance....can someone help me out?


I still kind of believe tanning helps reduce the appearance..even though many people thing it makes scars more visible...whats your take on this?

Tanning is a quick fix for acne scars but for something more permanent I would recommend you try an at-home microdermabrasion kit. You can pick one up for about $60.00 or try some of the other excellent acne scar removal creams such as Meladerm. These are excellent choices if you don't have a lot of money or your insurance wouldn't cover surgical procedures.
tanning makes them more visible if you have discoloration of the skin from the acne,i had acne bad too and since i have gained a little weight i think they look better also try mederma that may help you
i have the same problem,when i go out i put a paper sack over my head. make sure you put eye holes on the sack, the first time i forgot and hurt myself . i stay home as much as possible.no need to thank me, i'm here to help.
Apply live cultured yogurt on the affected areas everyday.
You could try Neutrogena rapid clear 2-1 Fight and Fade gel. It might not work for you but its only about $7 and worth a try. :-) Good luck!
