What can i do about acne scars?

i have so many!


and they don't EVER fade


i have a really really good routine for my face, i wash my face twice a day with...cetaphil (sp), i exfoliate everyday, i use a red clay mask every week, i moisturize and everything! and still nothing.


i don't have any acne left only horrible scars. i didn't even touch my face!


what can i do to make the scars go away?What can i do about acne scars?
get prescribed medication .. like isotrex.. id suggest gel form because the tablet form can cause side effects like rickets and liver disfunction.


also try going for some skin peels or other plastic surgery especially designed to remove acne scars.

okay i had terrible acne scars and the best thing you can get is called a glycolic peal it is an acid that literally burns the scars google it.It's completly harmless the only thing is the itch is horrible it is 2 minutes of the worst itching feeling ever.However it is well worth it you can buy it yourself on ebay but go to a face specialist or beautician and they will give you the correct amount.It is usually a 6 week course and after the first week you will see a difference but after the 6 weeks you will look completly different the scars will be nearly completly gone or will be gone completly either way big difference and either way not noticable.Definitley try it,it is the best way to get rid of acne scars and you will not regret it my face looks amazing after it.It shouldn't cost much i didn't pay much can't remember it was a few years ago not much aanyway.Just look into it it's amazing.
As someone who also had acne scars . .(was on accutane twice, and countless over the counter products), I found something that works. . 10% alpha hydroxy acid lotion from acne.org. ($16 for a 6 oz bottle) Within two weeks of using this, I noticed my skin tone was brighter, and acne is considerably reduced. I used to have those painful ones under the skin, but no more. .if I do have any, they're small and disappear quickly with this lotion. Only downside is, you have to stay out of the sun as much as you can . .it really increases your skin's sun sensitivity. And yes, it has faded my scars quite a bit. If you're going to be using this, you'll need a gentle face wash (target brand deep clean . .$3.29 with hydroxy acids is a good pick) and a benzoyl peroxide cream for any acne that might surface. I definitely agree with holaitsjosh. Go to a dermatologist and get a chemical peel. They work wonders at getting rid of post acne scars. It's the only thing that worked for me! Here's a link so you can read about them...

you can try bio oil it takes time but if you massage it in two times a day the scars will fade. You can also have skin treatments such as chemical peels and lasers to get rid of scarring but i expect it will cost alot of money.
Maybe you're using too much on your face. Try cutting down a little on your products for a week and check to see if there's a difference. If not, book an appointment with a dermatologist, who can give you advice proffessionally.
