Chemical peel, dermabrasion for severe acne scars???

My dermatologist was no help and I was really disappointed. I was very early to develop, I started getting acne at 10 and now my face is horribly scarred (I'm 29). I really hate how I look and worry that I'll never get a husband. I don't want to just give up without at least getting a second opinion, whether I liked her answer or not my dermatologist isn't infallible.

I read about someone really famous, who had horrible acne scars but he was cured with dermabrasion and chemical peels? I can't remember who it was. Does anyone know who I'm talking about???

Do these treatments work for severe scars, or at least minimise them????

Thank you!!!Chemical peel, dermabrasion for severe acne scars???
Dermabrasion and chemical peels remove layers of skin. You might need a series of treatments, but you will see a huge improvement. Superficial scars may be removed altogether, and deeper scars may be reduced in depth.Chemical peel, dermabrasion for severe acne scars???
I really feel 4 u. My life too has been blighted by terrible acne for years, (am now 22,) and I still have it sometimes and have very bad scarring.

I have started N-lite treatment (laser therapy,) which has enormously helped my acne. If you still have spots sometimes then you should use this first.

If you just have scars and no more active acne then I suggest microdermabrasionby itself witout the laser N-lite first. Once my acne went away with N-lite treatment, the microdermabrasion really really helped the bumpy surface of my skin and coloured scars. My skin is still not perfect but the treatment has really helped it and my confidence has soared.

I have not had a chemical peel so I cannot tell u if that works, but if you are considering dermabrasion I can tell u that it really really helped me!!!!! xx Good luck
