Tanning bed and acne scars?

i wanted to originally go tanning because it makes you look skinnier and hides the appearance of cellulite all that stuff. and i also wanted to hide the appearance of my acne scars which look like a bunch of red pimples but they're either flat or depressed (like icepick scars/potholes). they stand out so much on my skin which is pretty pale right now. is this a good idea, a bad idea, what?

and yes i do tan goodTanning bed and acne scars?
I think it will work. The UV light kills the blood vessels under the skin so should remove redness. It wont help faded ones or do your skin any good in the long run though.Tanning bed and acne scars?
Not a good idea for the scars, from what you've described they are not done healing. they can turn from red to purpley. It's like putting a shirt in the dryer that still has a stain, it sets it for life.
I don't think its the best idea to go tanning to get rid of acne. It temporarily hides the look of acne, but it doesn't last long, and the more you tan the higher your risk of skin cancer is. If i were you, and i do have acne scaring, i would use a tanning lotion if you want to look tanner, and if you want to diminish the look of your acne and acne scars use something from the lines of clean and clear or nutrogena.
My sister had the same problem. She recently started tanning and now is a lot more comfortable with her body. But you don't want to hurt your body so don't do it to much. A few times a week for a little bit should do it. :) good luck!
