Can acne pills ( acne antibiotics) leave scars?

My girlfriend was telling me about how acne pills can leave scars and how it happened to her dad's friend. Is this true or were the scars caused from something else?

The scars are caused by the acne, not by the pills.


You use this antibiotic, also known as Bactrim, to kill bacteria that is getting in the acne and making it worse. Sometimes going on Bactrim completly clears it out, other times it doesn't. But it DOESN'T cause scarring.
